Step Into Peterborough’s Most Creative Season

You may already know Peterborough’s iconic summer vibe – high-energy festivals, sun-soaked patios, and playful memories made with friends and family.

But as fall arrives, something shifts. Colours deepen, flavours grow richer, and the pace softens. Fall here, is truly a breath of fresh air.

Fall in Peterborough is your invitation to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with creativity in all its forms.

Here’s a taste of what you might like to sample on your fall route:

Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour
(September 26 & 27, 2026)

Presented by the Art Gallery of Peterborough, this beloved tour is one of Canada’s longest-running. Plan your own route through city streets and scenic country roads, stopping for a picnic or pastry as you meet artists and experience their work firsthand.

Farmers’ Markets

Peterborough’s culinary scene begins at the source. Surrounded by generations-old farmland, the region offers an abundance of fresh, local ingredients. Visit the Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market (Wednesdays/Saturdays) or the Peterborough & District Farmers’ Market (Saturdays) to taste the season.

This is the season where small moments feel bigger. A quiet drive becomes a canvas of colour. A visit with a maker reignites our energy. A simple taste becomes a core memory.

This fall, take the scenic route, linger a little longer, and follow your curiosity wherever it leads.

Because a Peterborough journey isn’t meant to be rushed, it is meant to be discovered one inspired moment at a time.
