Every project begins before materials hit the shoreline. RJ Marine Construction manages your project down to every detail – from permits to engineering, plans and drawings. No two waterfront projects are the same, which is why customization is at the core of our process. Whether it’s a multi slip boathouse or access creation for the toughest of shorelines, each structure is tailored to the site and client needs. 

A Different Kind of Job Site

Marine Construction doesn’t begin with just a foundation in the traditional sense. Instead, every project starts with understanding the environment- water depths, and shoreline composition are all competing factors. Whether your shoreline is sand or bedrock, 2′ deep or 20′ deep RJ Marine Construction has the experience and equipment to make any project a reality. Executing this kind of work requires more than standard construction tools. Using either a hammer equipped excavator or rock drill a pile is sent through the lakes overburden to, or embedded into bedrock. Multiple piles create a sturdy base for the rest of the steel frame.  RJ Marine Construction operates its own fleet of specialized equipment including barging for hard to access areas, allowing for full control over both schedule and quality. 

While the structural phase may look minimal- often just a framework rising from the water- it represents the most critical part of the build. Everything that follows from the decking to the finishes depends on the strength and accuracy of this foundation.
