Spaces Where Life Happens

For over 35 years, Cabinetree in Peterborough, Ontario, has done far more than manufacture custom cabinets; they have shaped the backdrops of many everyday lives.  A kitchen is never just a collection of cabinet boxes, shelves and doors, it’s the setting for  early morning coffees, late-night family chats, and messy holiday baking. We don’t just look at our living spaces, we live in them every day – we feel them.

Your home should be a sanctuary, and nothing matches the contentment that comes from being surrounded by beauty – that is also functional. When everything has its place, the background noise of daily clutter fades, leaving only warmth, order, peace, and space to make memories.

Current design trends reflect a return to grounding, tactile comfort that comes with an emphasis on nature and natural elements. Homeowners are moving away from cold, stark minimalism to embrace the rich, touchable textures of natural and stained woods. These wood grains, paired with soft, warm off-whites and organic paint palettes; earthy greens and serene blues are being found in powder rooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, pantries and kitchen islands. Wooden cabinets are being paired with high-performance porcelain and sintered stones, offering the perfect balance of rugged durability and elegant, everyday versatility.

While it is easy to get swept up in the immediate excitement of hardware styles, finishes, and preliminary textures for your custom cabinets, the journey to a cozy space really begins with a logical layout. Cabinetree has a team of skilled designers who will help you prioritize the flow of your daily life; first, mapping out appliance placements, plumbing, ventilation, and your personal storage needs. Once this foundation is set, a walk through the showroom transforms your vision into reality, allowing you to choose the exact door styles, configurations, and internal organizers that make a home feel custom-tailored to your habits. From full-extension slides that glide open effortlessly to lifetime-rated hinges that banish the jarring sound of slams, Cabinetree blends cutting-edge technology, precise local craftsmanship, exceptional service, and 35+ years of experience.
