Summer Theatre with Tweed and Co.
At Tweed and Company Theatre, spring is in the air, and it only seems fitting that our 2026 season motto is “Grow with Us!” For the fourth consecutive year Tweed & Company has been named one of Festival and Events Ontario Top 100 Attractions. There’s something for everyone, from our spring concert series which is already underway, to our exciting summer musical theatre line-up and young company camps.
Our major musical productions kick off in June starting with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in both Tweed and Bancroft. Following that, our biggest production to date Fiddler On The Roof will be playing in August and September. Due to the scale of the performance it will be playing exclusively in Bancroft. The cast will feature both professional and local talent, along with members of the Young Company program. During the same time for Tweed audiences, a laugh riot two man show called Murder For Two will be playing at The Marble Arts Centre. The season will wrap up with the ever popular holiday Panto in both Tweed and Bancroft – this year is the telling of Snow White in a way you’ve never seen before!
The Young Company program is ramping up for it’s summer youth camps in Tweed and Bancroft. Two sessions will be running in both locations, we encourage anyone interested to register early as spaces are limited. These rising stars will be showcasing their talent in final performances that you won’t want to miss.
Following the recent renovation of the Marble Arts Centre, the Village Playhouse will be undergoing a major upgrade this fall with the Lift addition. “We’re focused on making theatre available to everyone, and the installation of the lift will make the venue fully accessible to both patrons and performers,” says Co-Executive & Artistic Director Tim Porter. Another accessibility effort for Tweed & Company is making theatre affordable for everyone. “Our ticket prices remain some of the lowest in the province” boasts Porter.
