The Settlers are Back!

We are thrilled to announce that Kawartha Settlers’ Village has been given the green light to open as part of the Province’s Phase 2 roll-out of services. Come and take a step into history, walk our nature trail and immerse yourself into the lives of settlers from the Kawartha Lakes. What was once a thriving family farm, Kawartha Settlers’ Village is now home to a fascinating collection of over 20 historic buildings. Stroll leisurely through the Village and discover artifacts from 1830 – 1935.

We ask for patience from our patrons as we navigate new safety measures and precautions to keep our staff, volunteers and visitors safe. Limits on the number of visitors, both in the village itself and each building will be in place. We ask that social distancing measures are taken by all guests. We will have ample signage and resources to ensure that your visit is both safe and easy to navigate.

Unfortunately, many of our annual events and programs have been canceled for 2020, including Ghost Walks, Movies in the Barn, Summer Camps and The Bobcaygeon Craft Beer & Food Festival. These will remain canceled in accordance with safety guidelines. All event updates can be found on our website www.settlersvillage.org. Any remaining events will be ‘tentative’ as we follow the Province’s directions.

We look forward to seeing faces in the Village once again, and bringing back all of our annual traditions in 2021! See you on July 1st at KSV!
