The Right Person for the Right Job – Is it You?

Finally, Fall is upon us, and the weather has been pretty decent for the most part. A late start to summer meant I was thrown way behind on my improvement projects, and I’m expecting that you are much the same. I was worried that all of my plans would not be completed before summer came to a close.

Summer temperatures and sunshine are definitely ideal for working on our lists, but it is also important to enjoy each of the seasons and not just work them away, which is really an odd thing for me.

Luckily, I have found a solution to this dilemma. Take a look at your list and pick a few jobs that you can realistically accomplish yourself without giving up too much of your time to relax. For the rest, take the must-haves for this year and hire someone to do it for you.

Some jobs just simply need a professional tradesperson, for your own good and the good of your cottage.

I know that I have touched on this before, but I am a strong believer in hiring the right person for the job. This concept works well for most things in life, so why not use it for your place of relaxation.

Don’t get me wrong, sweat equity can go a long way, and be very rewarding as well as less costly, usually.

Be sure to hire locally. Trades know trades, which will make your hiring decisions easier when you get to that point. We have worked hard to get where we are and it’s time to enjoy it, so take another look at that list and choose wisely.

As always, I would like to offer my thoughts on your projects, challenges and questions, so feel free to contact me at the email below and I will do my best to help out!  Maybe your next question will be featured in an upcoming issue!

Enjoy your down time this Fall.
