Harmony for Healing was a Spectacular Evening of 60s Music and Solidarity

The Market Hall Performing Arts Centre was alive with the spirit of the ’60s on February 22, 2024, as the inaugural ‘Harmony for Healing’ event, “Spirit in the Sky,” soared beyond expectations. This beacon of hope for suicide and mental health awareness saw a full house, with every ticket sold contributing to a noble cause.

In an evening that can only be described as magical, the concert rallied the community to raise over $13,500, surpassing the initial goal of $10,000. These funds will empower the transformative A.O.S.P. program, offering crucial support to individuals and families grappling with mental health challenges.

Phillip Jolicoeur, the driving force behind ‘Harmony for Healing,’ inspired by his mother’s memory, and in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association, has sparked a movement that resonated deeply with Peterborough’s heart and soul. The night featured stellar performances by local talents, including The Weber Brothers, Lindsay Barr, Melissa Payne, and many others, backed by the Harmony for Healing House Band, and the creative showcase of Jason Wilkins Art & Creative Inc and Trellis Arts.

As we look forward to next year’s event, themed “Wish You Were Here” and dedicating the music to the 70’s decade, an incredible 55% of tickets have already been snapped up by those eager to continue this journey of musical healing.

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5, 2025, at 11 am, for the big cheque ceremony at the CMHA Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge – Peterborough, located at 415 Water St, Peterborough, ON. Witness the presentation of the funds raised and hear from those who have made ‘Harmony for Healing’ an unprecedented success.
