Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card.

OFAH Family Ice Fishing Day
When: 10:00AM – 2:00PM
Where: Bel Rotary Park, in Ennismore
Enjoy a free day of ice fishing with family and friends. All bait, and equipment is provided, and every child takes home a prize. Canadian residents can fish licence-free.
Blizzard Fest at the Buckhorn Community Centre
Come on out and Enjoy a day celebrating family and heritage. Participate in snowshoeing, skating and more. There will be horse drawn wagon rides, maple candy demo and so much more. Family priced, this is a great way to celebrate and winter and Canadian living. Vendors inside along with entertainment and a baking contest.
Family Snow Day at South Pond Farms
In Partnership with the Kawartha Land Trust and Wild Rock Outfitters.

Great Canadian Family Day at the Canadian Canoe Museum
Ten camping-themed activities throughout the galleries! Participants will be able to make a clothes pin portager, a paracord zipper-pull or watch a canoe sail down our zipline! Artisans will be onsite demonstrating their craft. Our activity stations will provide fun for the whole family!
Family Day At The Ymca
When: 10:00AM – 2:00PM
Where: 123 Aylmer St. S., Peterborough
A fun-filled day of family activities including a bouncy castle, gym games, arts and crafts, pool games and a bake sale to support the Strong Kids campaign.
Members: Donation to Strong Kids; non-members: $10 per family.
Peterborough Family Day Skate
When: 12:00PM – 2:15PM
Where: Evinrude Centre, 911 Monaghan Rd.
Family Day With The Peterborough Petes
When: 2:05PM
Where: Peterborough Memorial Centre, 151 Lansdowne St, Peterborough.
Following the game, fans can skate with the Petes, also kid’ face-painting, chuck-a-puck and silent auction.
JJ Stewart Chrysler Winter Classic
When: 9:00AM – 6:00PM
Where: Lakefield College School, 4391 County Rd. 29
Boys and girls’ hockey tournaments, family skating (noon to 1 p.m.), bake sale, chuck-a-puck and an auction.
Event supports Autism Ontario Peterborough chapter along with the Tarkington and Dombroksi families.
Douro-Dummer Family Day Skate
When: 1:30PM – 3:30PM
Where: Douro Community Centre, 2893 Highway 28 Douro.
Complimentary hot dogs and hot chocolate and a used book sale. Hosted by Friends of the Douro-Dummer Public Library.
Winterlude 2019
When: 11:00AM – 3:00PM
Where: Gamiing Nature Centre, 1884 Pigeon Lake Rd., Lindsay.
Hot drinks and chili, a campfire, music by Eileen and Robert Blake; hiking trail excursions and identification walks and the Discovery Shack to learn about fish, birds, mammals, plants and amphibians. Admission by donation.
