Choose a Photographer You ‘Click’ With
One of the most important team members you will hire for your wedding day is your photographer.
This person will not only be spending quite a few hours acting as your shadow; but you have to trust that they are capturing all of the moments and memories of your special day; and that means that you need to find a photographer that fits with you and your fiancé.
It can be very confusing when you first begin looking at photographers. It is easy to get lost in all the labels that are applied to the different styles of photography; traditional, modern, documentary, posed; light and airy, dark and moody or somewhere in between? My best advice is to do some research. Google local photographers and then spend time going through their websites. Which photos are the way you envision your photos to look? Always keep in mind that your photos will be slightly different; after all it is your day done your way; but overall the feel and style will be the same.
The other major component is personality. Do you and your potential photographer click? Do you feel comfortable with them? Are they easy to talk to? Are they aligned with your personality and vision for the day? This person will be with you step by step through your entire day and you need to feel like you can not only trust them, but be friends with them.
The last part of the equation is budget. The photographer of your dreams may be outside of your budget, but there is nothing wrong with being open and honest with them and asking them if they can work with you; or perhaps they can recommend someone who they feel would fit your requirements.
Spending the time to research and choose a photographer that clicks will ensure that all your moments are captured and that you are able to relax and enjoy your special day.
