Walking and rolling for the win! Award winners announced for Shifting Gears 2019
Shifting Gears will host a wrap-up celebration in honour of the hundreds of enthusiastic participants who shifted to active and sustainable transportation this spring. Representatives from workplaces, secondary schools, and community participants will be presented with awards and prizes at the Travel Wise Awards Celebration and Wrap Party.
Mayor Diane Therrien will announce the 2019 Travel Wise Award Winners for Shifting Gears. Shifting Gears Coordinator, Lindsay Stroud, and the City of Peterborough’s Transportation Demand Management Planner, Sue Sauvé will report on program highlights and impacts from the 2019 community challenge.

WHERE: Millennium Park Display Room (room beside Silver Bean Café)
This challenge offers residents a reason to change those daily habits and try something new, with a little support and encouragement from the community of fellow shifters.
We will announce the winners of the Travel Wise Awards in the following categories: Micro, Small, Medium, and Large Workplace; Rookie of the Year; Master’s Class. Door prizes, refreshments, and fresh smoothies made on the blender bike will be available at the celebration.
