The Clear Lake Jewel – In with the New, But Keep the Old.
Welcome to The Clear Lake Jewel by Four Points Construction, a gorgeous newly built cottage nestled among the trees on the shores of sparkling Clear Lake. This custom rebuild shows pride of workmanship in every tiny detail, boasting creative design and flawless execution. The result is a functional, bright, cheery space in which the owners can enjoy the special pace of lake-life.
The newly built 5000 square foot cottage replaces a century cottage that originally sat on the property, and as a reminder of the history of the land, wall cladding from the original cottage was salvaged from the tear-down, and repurposed in the new build as unique ceiling features; preserving history in the evolution and modernization of the property for years to come.
No matter where you look in this cottage you will find interesting details; you will notice a herring bone theme in corners instead of mitre cuts, offering a distinctive interlocking pattern that adds a timeless depth to the room. Finely detailed coffered and vaulted ceiling features create an elegant focus, and were built using the repurposed boards from the original century cottage; a beautiful personal touch to carry on the legacy of this Clear Lake oasis.
Another interesting detail to note, not a single bit of drywall was used in this project – each wall is finished with classic red cedar – offering a warm cozy atmosphere, and a rustic touch to compliment the view of the lake and the rugged terrain that surrounds it.
The Jewel showcases unique quality and attention to detail, every board meticulously measured and nailed; a process of perfection that began in the Fall of 2023, and was completed in May of 2025.
The lake itself has been invited inside as a focal point as well; in the dining area a bank of 3 French doors ushers in sunshine during the day as the lake sparkles on the horizon, and catches the magic of starry nights over the inky black water.
Bright airy bedrooms with panoramic windows offer an uninterrupted view of the lake and beg to be opened up to let the cool air of night in as you fall asleep listening to the lapping of the waves; the ultimate in soul soothing relaxation.
The master bedroom sings promised luxury, with a cozy stone fireplace, and master ensuite complete with a claw foot tub, sauna, and classic antique touches that create a relaxing space to unwind after long days spent enjoying the lake.
Outdoor entertaining was definitely considered, and a stone patio complete with outdoor kitchen awaits summer barbecues, and cold drinks enjoyed in the sun. Thoughtfully finished in hues of green to match the calming green of the cedar shake exterior, this outdoor space is modelled to compliment the nature that surrounds it, not compete with it.
