Boots & Hearts
There is something exhilarating about feeling music as it reverberates in your chest. It touches your soul in a way that only live music can; despite standing shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other people, you feel like that music – that singer – is singing just for you.

The Boots & Hearts Country Music Festival offers music lovers the chance to enjoy a fantastic collection of industry bests all in one place. The festival which takes place at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds was held from August 8th to 11th, and the crew from Cottage Country Lifestyle Magazine were thrilled to be invited as Media to cover the event.
In its eighth year, Boots & Hearts headliners like Maren Morris, Cole Swindell, Kip Moore, Miranda Lambert, Hardy, Tim Hicks and Jason Aldean graced the stage. The Boots lineup is bursting with a great mix of well-known names, and must-see up-and-comers who pack the weekend with foot-stompin’ good music.
The festival brings together an eclectic collection of people from young to old, all gathering, laughing and dancing together in the name of good music, and a good time. Country fans partied through four days, enjoying live music everyday with intimate performances at the Front Porch Stage, and dancing the night away with the larger-than-life country music stars rocking the Main Stage. While you enjoy the music there is lots to keep you occupied in the festival event grounds. You will never go hungry with a massive selection of food trucks – everything from healthy option wraps, to the best poutine, Greek and Italian food plus so many more options; even the Canadian Favourite – Beaver Tails for dessert! Interactive lounges offer a cushy space to relax in the sun with a beverage, and a beautiful sandy volleyball court keeps the game going all day.
As the sun sets on Burl’s Creek your eyes are automatically drawn to the lights which emanate from the enormous ferris wheel and other rides that give you a birds eye view of the event grounds. There is definitely a certain adrenaline that flows through the crowd as the moon comes up and everyone gears up for the party of the summer.
You always head home from Boots with new friends. While camping under the stars the party happens amongst all the tents and trailers. New weekend neighbors brought together by their love of country music leave as friends, with a cheers to beers and a plan to connect next year.
We drove away from Boots and Hearts trailer in tow, sun kissed, exhausted (in the best way) and smiling. Until next year, Boots & Hearts; we can’t wait to come back.
