Havelock Metal recently moved to 901 Major Bennett Drive in Peterborough, after outgrowing their Havelock location of 20 years. Owners Todd andJennifer Lawson specialize in steel roofing, siding, trim and accessories for residential, commercial and agriculture applications. Havelock Metal regularly gives back to the community in many ways, including Habitat for Humanity, and their annual “We’ve Got You Covered” contest. They are also proud suppliers for the new Hospice building.

CUDDLES FOR CANCER UK TRIP

Four members of the Cuddles for Cancer Youth Council will be visiting England & Scotland this July, delivering their signature Cuddle blankets to three hospitals (GOSH Children’s Hospital, Evelina Children’s Hospital, both in London & the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital in Scotland). The youth also have plans to visit the Diana Award team, participate in events, meet with global partners and proceed with plans to open a Cuddles for Cancer branch in the UK.

Faith Dickinson is a Grade 11 student at Lakefield College School. Faith created Cuddles for Cancer seven years ago. To date, over 4,000 Cuddle blankets have been madeand sent to thirty five countries around the world. The Cuddles for Cancer Youth Council was established last October and includes ten students from the GTA, Lakefield & Peterborough (ages range from 12-18).
Natel Ginter is a 12-year-old, grade 7 student from Oshawa Ontario.
Ivy Foster is a grade 11 student who attends St. Peter CSS. S
Brianna White is a grade 11 student who attends St. Peter Secondary School and lives in Bridgenorth.
